Winchester Cathedral Presbytery
Condition survey and paint analysis of the roof bosses, part of a larger project of roof and window repair. The report enabled the development of a proposal and specification for the treatment of the bosses and painted timber, enabling a Round 2 application for Heritage Lottery funding.

Consultancy
A major part of the conservator’s role is to determine the significance of the object under consideration, its history, materials and techniques, and to establish the extent, cause and rate of any deterioration. McNeilage Conservation are experienced in the preparation of such historical and technical assessments, which inform and direct conservation policy. Ecclesiatical reports conform to the standards required by the Church Buildings Council.
