Sun Inn, Saffron Walden – inspection, analysis and condition assessment of the famous pargetting on the façade of the old Sun Inn in Saffron Walden. Proposals were drawng up for the repair and representation of this plaster ornament, and were subsequently carried through.
Consultancy
A major part of the conservator’s role is to determine the significance of the object under consideration, its history, materials and techniques, and to establish the extent, cause and rate of any deterioration.
