St Peter and St. Paul’s Church, Cattistock – Wall paintings. Condtion Survey and Specification. EH funded. Detailed survey of the wall paintings on the walls and wooden weight case involving analysis of the long term problems of water penetration which have have led to their deterioration. This work involved collaboration with various other building specialists selected by EH.
Consultancy
A major part of the conservator’s role is to determine the significance of the object under consideration, its history, materials and techniques, and to establish the extent, cause and rate of any deterioration. McNeilage Conservation are experienced in the preparation of such historical and technical assessments, which inform and direct conservation policy. Ecclesiatical reports conform to the standards required by the Church Buildings Council.
