St Mary’s, Totnes, Devon - Three fourteenth century figures on the church tower, extensively weathered and decayed, were carefully stabilised, consolidated and repaired with lime mortars.
Conservation of statuary and carved stone detail is a major element of our work. We are experienced in dealing with the problems of a wide variety of stone types, including limestone and sandstone, slate, marble and alabaster. Work ranges from sensitive surface repair and cleaning to structural repair and may be site based or undertaken in the workshop.
