St. Mark’s Church, Staplefield – 19th century wall painting scheme by C E Kempe. Fresco secco in organic medium. McNeilage Conservation have worked on a number of schemes painted by Kempe in this region. This particular project involved large areas of paint consolidation with careful laying down and fixing of flaking and powdering paint.
